To complete a reasonable range of alternatives for the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the General Plan Update, an Environmentally Superior Alternative has been developed. The mapping portion of this reflects a more stringent application of the concepts and is more aggressive than the concepts in restricting growth in portions of the Semi-Rural and the Rural Lands Regional Categories. The Environmentally Superior Alternative would evolve as the EIR analysis identifies areas of significant impacts where changes in land use can reduce or alleviate the impact. Therefore, the map for this alternative is in a draft stage and will be modified as the EIR analysis progresses. Our Environmentally Superior Comparison Table shows what issues were considered for this map alternative and specific changes from the Referral Map. Draft Referral Map with Table References
This version highlights differences between the Draft Referral Map and Draft Land Use Maps, and was a tool used in the development of the Hybrid Map. The table shows the land use desig-nations for each area in the Existing General Plan, Draft Referral Map, Hybrid Map and Draft Land Use Map. Additionally the table provides a brief description of each site.
